Job Description
Etech Hi is recruiting for three full-time opportunities with an established commercial truck dealership in the Buffalo, New York area.
Current openings include:
- Diesel Mechanic
- Parts Manager
- Service Manager

1) Diesel Mechanic
An excellent full-time opportunity is available for an experienced Diesel Mechanic with a background working on heavy-duty commercial trucks and diesel vehicles.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with truck engines, drivetrains, and electrical systems and have experience performing both customer and warranty repairs.
Compensation: $30.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and test heavy-duty diesel vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivetrain issues
- Communicate directly with customers and drivers to understand and resolve repair concerns
- Determine and order the parts required for repairs
- Maintain accurate records related to repairs, rebuilds, and testing
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles
Qualifications
- 3+ years of heavy truck or diesel maintenance experience preferred
- CDL background preferred
- Experience working on Class 6 through Class 8 vehicles is required
- DTNA certifications preferred, or willingness to obtain certifications through company-paid training
- Experience working with Detroit Diesel, Allison, and Cummins engines and components is a strong plus
2) Parts Manager
An excellent full-time opportunity is available for an experienced Parts Manager with a background in a commercial heavy-duty truck dealership, service center, or similar environment.
The successful candidate will have experience managing parts department operations, inventory, personnel, customer service, and profitability.
Compensation: Competitive salary, depending on experience
Preferred Qualifications & Responsibilities
- 3+ years of Parts Management experience
- Lead all aspects of Parts Department operations
- Drive parts sales growth, profitability, inventory control, and customer support initiatives
- Ensure compliance with DTNA requirements, AORA standards, vendor agreements, and Elite Dealer processes
- Work closely with dealership leadership to improve departmental performance and customer satisfaction
- Utilize CDK reporting and analytics to monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and maintain process consistency
- Promote continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and best practices throughout the department
- Manage Parts Department personnel, including staffing, scheduling, recruiting, training, performance management, policy compliance, and team development
Experience with CDK, DTNA requirements, AORA standards, and Elite Dealer processes is strongly preferred.
3) Service Manager
An excellent full-time opportunity is available for an experienced Service Manager with a background in a commercial heavy-duty truck dealership and service center.
The successful candidate will oversee service department operations, technician productivity, workflow, customer service, and compliance with dealership and OEM standards.
Salary: $90,000 to $115,000 per year DOE
Qualifications
- 4+ years of Service Management experience in a commercial truck, heavy-duty vehicle, or similar service environment preferred
- Valid New York State CDL Class B preferred
- Valid New York State Inspector License for Light, Medium, and Heavy-Duty vehicles required
- Relevant technical education and/or experience in diesel, truck, or heavy-duty vehicle service and repair required
- Ability to complete and maintain required OEM and Elite Dealer certifications and training required
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of service department operations
- Oversee technician productivity, workflow, and repair quality
- Coordinate repairs and communicate effectively with customers to resolve service concerns
- Ensure compliance with OEM, warranty, safety, and dealership standards
- Maintain efficient operations while delivering exceptional customer service
