Job Profile: Pipefitter Reports to: Site Superintendent or ForemanCompany Overview:ISO Services is a 40+ year old industrial service and construction company providing all disciplines of industrial maintenance and construction. We are a division of Ergon Construction Group, an Ergon, Inc. company. Our services include specialty trades (insulation, fireproofing, painting/coatings, scaffolding & heat tracing) in addition to our mechanical and civil capabilities. Position Overview:This is a support position to ISO Services. The Pipe Fitter provides support for fabrication, installation, and repair of piping, steel structure, and associated equipment, and for other activities involving ISO Services. Key Duties and Responsibilities:Keeps safe work habits as the highest priority at all timesFollows policies and practices as stated in the Employee Handbook and other facility policy and procedure manualsMaintains a clean and well organized workspace at all timesStrives to develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customers, and associatesRead, understand and work off of blueprints (piping isometrics)Fabricates piping and structural steelPerform measurements and field fabrication as requiredOperates forklift to perform various tasksUse track torch, beveling torch, hand torch, plasma arc and other specialized toolsPerform rigging and erectionRepairs and services piping, tanks, boilers, vessels and valvesPerform bolt-up and torque flangesPerform hydrostatic and pneumatic testingSupply and be proficient with basic pipefitting hand toolsOn-call duties as requiredProjects a positive, "can-do" attitude to all customersTravel and overnight stay for several weeks at a time.Other miscellaneous maintenance duties as requested Applicable Experience & Competencies:High school diploma or G.E.D.Requires successful completion of training as outlined by ISO Services.Strong communication skills and organizational skills a must.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift a minimum of 50#.Must be in a physical condition that will allow walking long distances.Must be able to work in any environment (heat, cold, rain)Must be able to physically work up to 84 hours a week, if necessaryMust be able to stand for a long period of time.Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach and climb.Must be able to work in confined spaces.Must be able to work in high places (no fear of heights)Must be well-groomed.
