If you are compassionate, creative, energetic, and motivated to make daily life brighter for older adults, this role offers purpose, stability, and a supportive team environment.

About the Role

The Memory Care Coordinator (MCC) supports the daily execution of dementia-specific engagement programs in our Flourish Memory Care neighborhood. This is a non-supervisory role focused on direct program delivery, resident engagement, and reinforcing person-centered care approaches under the direction of the Memory Care Director.

You will lead 5–9 structured daily programs, support transitions, model engagement techniques for staff, and help create an environment where residents feel connected, valued, and engaged.

What You Will Do

• Lead individual and group programs across the Flourish engagement domains:
Motion & Movement, Knowledge & Learning, Motivation & Creation, Community & Connection, Harmony & Introspection, Intention & Commitment, Exploration & Adventure
• Deliver 5–9 engagement programs per day (sensory, cognitive, creative, physical, social, and theme-based)
• Support structured routines and transitions (meals, rest periods, prep times)
• Encourage resident participation and personalize experiences based on abilities and preferences
• Collaborate with the Memory Care Director on event preparation, materials, monthly calendars, and documentation
• Assist with new-resident onboarding to ensure smooth adjustment to memory care routines
• Support care associates by modeling dementia-informed techniques and engagement cues
• Maintain welcoming, organized program spaces
• Participate in family events, volunteer programs, and seasonal celebrations
• Reinforce Charter’s mission and person-centered dementia care approaches each day

What You Bring

Required:
• At least 2 years of experience engaging individuals living with dementia
• Associate degree or equivalent experience in senior living
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and creativity
• Ability to lead programs independently and work in a structured team environment
• Strong interpersonal communication skills

• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed
• Must be 18+ with completed health screenings and background checks
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred:
• Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Social Work, Psychology, Human Development, Gerontology, or related field
