Assistant Project Manager
Job Description
The first five years in construction decide the next twenty. An Assistant Project Manager at the right builder learns buyout, cost control, and how owners actually make decisions. At the wrong one, you file submittals and watch.
Belmont Search places APMs and Project Engineers with Greater Boston builders who run the first kind of shop.
What you would own:
- Submittals, RFIs and procurement logs, end to end.
- Buyout support with real exposure to the numbers.
- Field time with your Superintendent, because the paperwork only makes sense once you have watched it get built.
- Owner meetings inside your first year, in the room, not on the minutes.
One to four years in commercial construction fits; co-ops and internships count. The trait that matters is wanting to run your own work sooner rather than later.
Salary is $75,000 - $100,000 plus bonus, and the growth is the real compensation: APMs who pick the right shop run their own projects years earlier.
The conversation costs nothing and stays confidential. Call or text John directly at (305) 871-9821, or apply and he will call you. Introductions welcome.
