Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Operations
  • Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities.
  • Ensure production schedules are executed efficiently to meet customer demand.
  • Optimize labor, equipment, and material utilization.
  • Monitor daily production performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Coordinate activities across all production shifts.
Operational Performance
  • Drive continuous improvement of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Improve productivity while reducing manufacturing costs.
  • Monitor production KPIs and establish action plans to achieve targets.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure production capacity meets customer requirements.
People Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop Production Supervisors and Team Leaders.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and establish development plans.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of production personnel.
  • Foster a positive and high-performance work environment.
Safety & Environmental
  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout the plant.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Lead accident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Ensure housekeeping standards (5S) are maintained.
  • Support environmental compliance initiatives.
Quality
  • Ensure products are manufactured according to customer specifications.
  • Work closely with the Quality Department to resolve production quality issues.
  • Support containment activities and corrective actions.
  • Ensure standardized work instructions are followed.
  • Participate in APQP and new product launches.
Maintenance Coordination
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Department to maximize equipment availability.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Minimize downtime through effective planning.
  • Participate in equipment improvement projects.
Inventory & Materials
  • Coordinate production with Materials and Supply Chain departments.
  • Ensure raw materials and components are available.
  • Reduce Work-In-Process (WIP).
  • Support inventory accuracy and cycle count activities.
Continuous Improvement
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Promote Kaizen events.
  • Implement waste reduction activities.
  • Improve workflow and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Encourage employee suggestions for process improvements.

QualificationsEducation

Bachelor's degree in:

  • Industrial Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Operations Management
  • Or equivalent experience.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in a production leadership position.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience managing CNC machining, assembly, machining, or metal manufacturing operations is highly desirable.
