Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the daily operations of the Quality Department across assigned shifts
- Manage, coach, and develop Quality Leads and Quality Inspectors to achieve department goals
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final product inspections
- Lead investigations into quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conforming products
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Monitor key quality metrics, including scrap, rework, defects, and first-pass yield, and develop action plans for improvement
- Prepare and present quality reports and performance metrics to management
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits while maintaining audit readiness
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and Operations leadership to resolve quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes
- Ensure quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions remain accurate and up to date
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and employee engagement throughout the Quality Department
Qualifications
- 3+ years of manufacturing quality experience required
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, inspections, root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience leading teams, conducting performance evaluations, and developing employees
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities
