Primary Function:

This position is responsible for performing the basic diagnostic, repair, and maintenance of light duty trucks or emergency vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform basic, routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light-duty trucks and emergency vehicles.
  • Assist with the installation and service mechanical systems, suspension components and drivetrains.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair engine performance, brakes, cooling systems, ignition systems, hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Maintain and repair new vehicle set up
  • Responsible for maintaining shop equipment and a clean and safe work area
  • Ensure all work complies with DOT, NFPA, and other regulatory guidelines as required.
  • Maintain accurate service records and follow company and industry safety standards.
  • Manage and report time on tasks.
  • Wash, clean and prep new vehicles for service.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have their own tools and a valid state license.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive mechanical systems, diagnostics and repair.
  • Ensure all work complies with Triple KKK standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment a plus.

Experience:

High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience in an electrical automotive environment or equivalent experience. Knowledge of basic repair disciplines and have the willingness to learn new systems as they relate to emergency vehicles. Driver’s license CDL B with air brake and bus endorsement a plus.
