FSS Staffing is seeking a motivated, hands-on leader to oversee all inbound and outbound logistics operations at its Vineland, NJ facility, ensuring the accurate, efficient, and safe movement of perishable goods!
Seniority Level: Mid-Senior
Location: Vineland, NJ
Salary: $70,000-$80,000/YR
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Managers cover Saturdays sometimes)
Role Overview
The Shipping and Receiving Manager will lead daily shipping and receiving activities, manage a high-performing team, and maintain strict compliance with food safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong teams, and takes pride in operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Lead all daily shipping and receiving activities — receiving, storage, inventory control, and outbound shipments
- Team Management: Coach, train, and motivate staff to meet performance standards; manage labor schedules, tasks, and equipment
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce GMPs, SOPs, and food safety regulations; maintain a safe, organized working environment
- Vendor & Equipment Coordination: Manage vendor accounts; coordinate maintenance for equipment and docks
- Performance Monitoring: Review and analyze performance reports to drive continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of supervisory experience in shipping and receiving
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities; bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with WMS and ERP systems; understanding of OSHA regulations and food safety compliance
- Work Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings
- Bonus: Experience managing or coordinating with 3PL services is a plus
