Position Summary

The Waitstaff is responsible for providing courteous, professional table service to residents and guests while supporting a welcoming, comfortable, and enjoyable dining experience. This position assists with dining room setup, meal service, cleanliness, sanitation, and other daily dining operations.

The Waitstaff works closely with the Dining Services Team to ensure meals are delivered promptly and accurately, dietary preferences are followed, and residents and guests receive exceptional hospitality and service.


Position Type: Part Time

Hourly Rate: $15.50 per hour

Schedule: 16–20 hours per week; typically Monday through Saturday, 3:30–7:30 pm, and Sunday, 10:00 am–2:00 pm. Some flexibility may be required based on community needs.


Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous, professional, and attentive table service to residents and guests.
  • Set up dining areas, including linens, place settings, beverage stations, and other service items.
  • Deliver meals and beverages promptly and accurately while ensuring dietary preferences and service requirements are followed.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of dining rooms, service areas, tables, and equipment.
  • Assist with dining room preparation and breakdown before and after meal service.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with residents, guests, and members of the Dining Services Team.
  • Respond to resident and guest requests in a timely, respectful, and service-oriented manner.
  • Support a welcoming and comfortable dining environment that promotes resident satisfaction.
  • Follow all applicable food safety, sanitation, dining service, and community policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the Dining Services Team to ensure efficient and consistent meal service.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a team-oriented approach by assisting with operational needs, special events, community initiatives, and other responsibilities as business needs require.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with residents, guests, and team members
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dining environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Commitment to providing exceptional hospitality and resident service
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team


Preferred

  • Previous waitstaff, dining services, hospitality, or customer service experience
  • Experience with POS systems or other hospitality tools
  • Previous experience working in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environment
  • Patient, friendly, and service-focused approach
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
  • Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional resident service
