Schedule: This is a full-time position with a schedule that includes weekday shifts and every other weekend
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team at Southwestern Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Mifflin, PA. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by coordinating daily activities, promoting socialization, and fostering a sense of community. Responsibilities:
Assist with the coordination of daily activities, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for residents
Help to develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents
Collaborate with the Activity's Director to brainstorm new ideas and improve existing programs
Assist residents with transportation to and from activities, promoting independence and autonomy
Demonstrate a positive attitude and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
High School or Equivalent (Required)
Previous experience in activities, preferred
Current Valid Driver's License
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist residents with transfers
