Schedule: This is a full-time position with a schedule that includes weekday shifts and every other weekend

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team at Southwestern Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Mifflin, PA. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by coordinating daily activities, promoting socialization, and fostering a sense of community. Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the coordination of daily activities, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for residents

  • Help to develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents

  • Collaborate with the Activity's Director to brainstorm new ideas and improve existing programs

  • Assist residents with transportation to and from activities, promoting independence and autonomy

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and flexibility in a fast-paced environment

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless operations

Requirements:

  • High School or Equivalent (Required)

  • Previous experience in activities, preferred

  • Current Valid Driver's License

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist residents with transfers
