Role SummaryAs a Member Engagement Facilitator, you deliver Girl Scout programming to girls who may face barriers to joining a volunteer-led troop. You also help expand membership and connect families to council opportunities in Cedar Rapids, IA.Key responsibilities include delivering age-appropriate program sessions, supporting youth and adult recruitment efforts, representing Girl Scouts at local community events, and sharing clear information on council programs and resources.Required qualifications/skills:- At least 18 years old- Strong self-management, confidence, and active listening- Clear written and verbal communication- Basic computer skills- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportationIf you have daytime availability and want a part-time role with meaningful community impact, apply to become a Member Engagement Facilitator.Typical WorkdayYour day as a Member Engagement Facilitator is planned around daytime programming and community touchpoints. You may start by confirming a school or partner-site schedule, setting up materials, and welcoming girls into a supportive, structured session. Between activities, you’ll track attendance and notes, then shift to brief conversations with caregivers about next steps and participation options. Some days include a community event where you share information, answer questions, and help families understand how to get involved.
