Shipfitter - 1st Shift

CDR General Services LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable Fitter to join our team in Calvert City, KY. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Job Location: Calvert City, Kentucky
Pay Rate: $29.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Sunday

Key Responsibilities
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications
• Measure, layout, fit, and assemble metal components according to project requirements
• Prepare materials for welding and fabrication processes
• Verify dimensions and ensure proper fit-up of components
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and accurately
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
• Must be 18 years or older
• Previous fitting or fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Strong knowledge of measuring tools and layout techniques
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Reliable transportation required
• Strong commitment to safety, attendance, and productivity
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
