Memory Care Activity Assistant – Full-Time

Edgewood Manor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Port Clinton, Ohio, is seeking a compassionate and energetic Memory Care Activity Assistant to join our team!

This full-time position is ideal for a caring STNA who is passionate about creating meaningful moments and enriching the lives of residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

What You’ll Do

• Plan and lead engaging, memory-focused activities for residents

• Encourage participation through music, games, crafts, exercise, sensory activities, and social programs

• Provide hands-on assistance while supporting each resident’s dignity and independence

• Adapt activities to residents’ individual abilities, interests, and needs

• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families

• Collaborate with nursing, activities, and interdisciplinary team members

• Assist with special events, celebrations, and outings

• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and structured memory care environment

What We’re Looking For

• Current Ohio STNA license required

• A genuine passion for working with memory care residents

• Patience, compassion, creativity, and a positive attitude

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Dependable, energetic, and comfortable engaging residents individually and in groups

• Previous memory care or activities experience preferred
