Position Description: Staff AccountantPosition Summary***Must have manufacturing experience*****We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining general ledger accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, experience in a manufacturing environment, and a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting as needed.Assist with inventory accounting and manufacturing cost analysis.Prepare financial reports and schedules for management.Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.Assist with internal and external audits.Support budgeting, forecasting, and other financial analysis projects.Perform other accounting duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with ERP systems used in manufacturing environments.Knowledge of inventory, standard costing, or cost accounting principles is a plus.Work EnvironmentThis position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support the organization's financial objectives.
