RN Nursing Supervisor
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Days- Monday through Friday
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Nursing Supervisor to lead our clinical team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The RN Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing operations during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, supporting nursing staff, and promoting a positive, resident-centered environment.
The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader with excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Coordinate resident care and ensure delivery of high-quality, individualized nursing services.
- Assess residents' clinical status and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.
- Review and complete clinical documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Investigate and follow up on resident, family, and staff concerns.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention, and risk management activities.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
- Respond to emergencies and provide direct resident care when necessary.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
