What You'll Do
- Lead a Georgia Lottery Pre-K classroom following Bright from the Start and GELDS standards
- Develop and implement engaging daily lesson plans
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Conduct developmental assessments and maintain accurate documentation
- Promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training
- Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers
- Ensure compliance with all licensing and Georgia Pre-K regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field (required)
- Eligible to serve as a Georgia Lottery Pre-K Lead Teacher
- Knowledge of Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS)
- Experience managing an early childhood classroom
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with families and staff
- Ability to pass all required background screenings
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
Nice To Haves
- Georgia Teaching Certificate
- Georgia Pre-K classroom experience
- Experience with Creative Curriculum or similar curriculum
- Familiarity with Bright from the Start regulations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Experience using child assessment platforms
