Hotel General Manager
Job Description
$75,000 - $85,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards.
- Be present on property during shift changes to communicate priorities and support the team.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise hotel staff to create a high-performing, guest-focused team.
- Perform administrative duties, such as payroll, bank deposits, and completing operational checklists.
- Oversee daily operations, including room bookings, event planning, and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
Minimum 5 years of successful Hotel General Manager experience with a Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, IHG, or other nationally recognized hotel brand.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent hospitality leadership experience).
Previous Hilton or Marriott brand experience strongly preferred; Hilton Garden Inn experience is a plus.
Proven track record of improving RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and GOP while maintaining strong expense controls.
Demonstrated success leading guest satisfaction, team engagement, and hotel profitability.
Strong understanding of Hilton brand standards, QA inspections, and guest experience programs.
Experience managing budgets, P&L, forecasting, labor management, payroll, and financial reporting.
Proven ability to recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing teams.
Strong revenue management mindset with the ability to partner effectively with Revenue Management and Sales to maximize hotel performance.
Experience working directly with ownership groups and management companies.
Proficient with hotel operating systems such as OnQ, PEP, Opera, M3, ProfitSword, or similar.
