Heavy Civil Project Manager – Fargo, ND

An established and highly respected heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team in the Fargo, ND market. This organization has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects while maintaining a people-first culture and long-term employee retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout

  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and cost controls

  • Lead project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure successful project execution

  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers, and project stakeholders

  • Prepare and manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and monthly reporting

  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget

Preferred Experience:

  • 5+ years of project management experience within heavy civil construction

  • Experience managing projects involving earthwork, underground utilities, site development, concrete, roadway, or related infrastructure work

  • Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, and contract administration

  • Proficiency with construction management software; experience with HCSS HeavyBid, HeavyJob, AGTEK, or similar platforms is a plus

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
