POSITION/LEVEL: Fund Accountant FLSA STATUS: Exempt

DEPT/OFFICE: Fund Accounting DATE: August 2026


JOB SUMMARY AND DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE WORK:

The Fund Accountant reviews and analyzes the financial reporting on a property and fund level basis. This position works under the supervision of the Fund Accounting Vice Presidents.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education and Experience:

%CF; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; and

%CF; Accounting and real estate industry knowledge preferred

%CF; Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job

Licenses and Certifications:


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

%CF; Reviews operational monthly financial reporting packages for multiple properties

%CF; Monitors various entity level cash balances and prepares monthly bank reconciliations for various entity bank accounts

%CF; Prepares lender reporting packages and reviews the calculation of certain debt covenants

%CF; Processes invoices for various entity level expenses

%CF; Coordinates and communicates the results, findings and recommendations of monthly reviews with various departments including Asset Management and Property Management

%CF; Review and understanding of partnership agreements, loan documents, and leases

%CF; Assists with external audits and reviews including preparation of year-end audit workpapers

%CF; Prepares reconciliations for various entity level balance sheet accounts

%CF; Prepares journal entries for various entity level activity

%CF; Prepares and/or reviews quarterly investor reporting
