Strategies to Empower People (STEP) is hiring full-time Independent Living Skills (ILS) & Employment Services Staff to provide in-person support for disabled adults receiving ILS and employment services in the greater Sacramento area.Do you want to make a lasting impact on someone's life? Then keep reading!WHAT IS THE JOB?Independent Living Skills (ILS) & Employment Services Staff provide instruction and support for our clients who are working on developing daily living skills and job skills. We are looking for patient and creative people who can help our clients find new ways to grow their independence, find employment, or maintain their current employment! This includes support with activities like:Assisting with accessing programs such as Cal-Fresh, SSI, Housing, etc.Budgeting support and guidanceOn-site job skill training and supportSocial engagement and developmentPersonal growth and health managementAnd much more!Qualified applicants:Must be 18+ with a high school diploma, GED, or Certificate of CompletionMust have at least one (1) year or related professional experience with independent living, employment skills training, education, or other similar professionsMust be able to drive which means providing a current CA Driver License, current auto insurance, and have a clear Motor Vehicle RecordThe pay rate for this position ranges from $23-$26 depending on verifiable, related experience.SCHEDULEThis is a full-time (32+ hours per week) position that operates primarily in the field (THIS IS NOT A WORK-FROM-HOME POSITION).
