Position Summary:
The Painter III is responsible for following instructions given by the Production Manager to execute all preparation for and application of primer and paint successfully. The goal is to efficiently design and manufacture components and systems that are safe, innovative, and of high quality. The Painter III will represent the Company and its values and will ensure that the expectations of the Company’s customers are exceeded by performing the following:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare parts for masking.
- Ability to smooth surfaces with sandpaper.
- Mask components and assemblies for application of surface treatments.
- Able to work to specific procedures and understand technical data in order to use proper materials.
- Mixing products prior to application.
- Apply surface treatments (primer, paint, texture, clearcoat etc.) using brushes, rollers and spray guns.
- Able to disassemble and clean paint application equipment.
- Can understand and locate revision levels on drawings, specifications, and materials.
- Maintain documentation such as work orders and parts tags

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiar with MS Office suite. Able to navigate folders and locate drawings, specifications and other information required to complete assigned tasks.
- KA experience in the role, considered expert in the position.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, including GD&T symbols.
- Individual contributor that is generally self-sufficient and requires little to no supervisor input to complete tasks assigned.
- Trains other technicians on correct use of tools and processes.
- Understand and comply with safety policies, ensures self and others in the area are wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Minimum five (5) years related manufacturing experience, or
- Minimum four (4) years of relevant aerospace experience.
Work Environment Requirements:
- Full-Time Position.
- Warehouse and manufacturing environment.
