Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and secure medical records for our patients. This is a full-time position, working 3 days a week, and requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and record-keeping procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients, including charting, scanning, and filing documents
• Review and abstract medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Conduct searches and retrieves medical records as needed
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure timely and accurate record-keeping
• Perform other clerical duties as needed, such as answering phones, taking messages, and providing general administrative support
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
0-1 year of experience in medical records or a related field
Strong understanding of medical terminology and record-keeping procedures
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
