Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee a portfolio of approximately 60–80 small business clients, providing both hands-on tax preparation and strategic oversight. This individual will work closely with business owners, guiding them through tax planning and compliance while managing and mentoring team members in a collaborative leadership structure.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review business tax returns (1065, 1120S, and related filings)
- Oversee and/or prepare individual tax returns (1040) for business owners
- Maintain ongoing relationships with a portfolio of small business clients
- Conduct annual tax planning meetings with clients (primarily in Q4)
- Provide leadership and support to staff; co-manage team members alongside another manager
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all client deliverables
- Collaborate with internal team members to improve processes and client service
Qualifications
- CPA or EA designation (required)
- Strong experience with small business taxation (partnerships, S-corps, etc.)
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles (hands-on work is light, but understanding is essential)
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build client relationships
- Demonstrated stability in prior roles; this is a long-term opportunity
Work Schedule & Flexibility
- Standard (non-tax season) hours: Monday–Thursday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
- Hybrid work option available after 6 months.
