Position Summary

As a Cook, you'll help create delicious, nutritious meals for our residents, guests, and staff while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation, and food safety. You'll work closely with our Dining Services team to ensure every meal is prepared with care and served with pride.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare meals according to daily menus and standardized recipes.

  • Cook and serve food in a timely, efficient manner.

  • Work the serving line during meal service.

  • Plate meals attractively with appropriate garnishes and condiments.

  • Maintain proper food temperatures throughout preparation and service.

  • Keep kitchen equipment, workstations, and serving areas clean and sanitized.

  • Rotate, label, date, and properly store all food products.

  • Minimize waste through proper food storage and inventory practices.

  • Participate in required trainings and staff meetings.

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.

  • Create a welcoming experience by maintaining a positive, professional attitude with residents, families, visitors, and fellow team members.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED completed.

  • Previous food service or cooking experience.

  • Experience with senior living a plus.

  • Required food handling/sanitation certifications, or the ability to obtain them.
