Stardom Employment Consultants is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing construction company in Fresno, CA. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting functions with a focus on construction accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in job costing, accounts payable/receivable, and supporting project managers with financial data.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate job cost reports and analyze variances
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions timely and accurately
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close activities
- Support payroll processing and track labor costs related to construction projects
- Assist project managers with budgeting and financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Maintain organized financial records and support audit preparation

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or related industries
- Proficient with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage 300) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of job costing and construction accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with project teams
