What You'll Do

  • Prepare and cook delicious, nutritious meals according to approved menus, recipes, and therapeutic diets.

  • Ensure meals are served at the proper temperature and presented in an appealing way.

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen.

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and food storage areas.

  • Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing food and supplies.

  • Work alongside dietary aides and fellow team members to provide timely, exceptional meal service.

  • Prepare meals that meet specialized dietary needs, including diabetic, low-sodium, mechanical soft, and pureed diets.

  • Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management.

  • Help create a warm, welcoming dining experience that brings comfort and joy to our residents every day.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, long-term care, hospital, school, or institutional setting is preferred.

  • Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation practices, and therapeutic diets is a plus.

  • Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines with accuracy.

  • A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain on your feet throughout the shift.

  • Must successfully complete required background checks and health screenings.
