What You'll Do
Prepare and cook delicious, nutritious meals according to approved menus, recipes, and therapeutic diets.
Ensure meals are served at the proper temperature and presented in an appealing way.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and food storage areas.
Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing food and supplies.
Work alongside dietary aides and fellow team members to provide timely, exceptional meal service.
Prepare meals that meet specialized dietary needs, including diabetic, low-sodium, mechanical soft, and pureed diets.
Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
Help create a warm, welcoming dining experience that brings comfort and joy to our residents every day.
What We're Looking For
Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, long-term care, hospital, school, or institutional setting is preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation practices, and therapeutic diets is a plus.
Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines with accuracy.
A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain on your feet throughout the shift.
Must successfully complete required background checks and health screenings.
