We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and energetic Activity Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help plan and facilitate engaging recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities that promote connection, participation, and quality of life for our residents.

What You'll DoAssist the Activity Director with planning and implementing recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities for residents.
Lead and support one-on-one, small-group, and large-group activities, encouraging residents to participate according to their interests and abilities.
Organize and assist with games, arts and crafts, entertainment, holiday celebrations, special events, and family-centered programs.
Provide meaningful individual engagement for residents who prefer one-on-one activities, tailoring interactions to their personal interests, preferences, and needs.
Support residents with memory loss, physical limitations, or other disabilities, helping ensure activities are inclusive and accessible.
Escort residents to and from scheduled activities while providing companionship, encouragement, and support.
Prepare activity rooms, supplies, equipment, decorations, and other materials before and after programs.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe activity spaces.
Maintain accurate attendance records and activity documentation in a timely manner.
Assist with distributing monthly activity calendars, newsletters, and daily schedules to keep residents and families informed.
Work collaboratively with the Activity Director and other members of the care team to create positive and engaging resident experiences.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or in a healthcare setting preferred.
Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living, memory care, or long-term care is a plus.
Compassionate, patient, creative, enthusiastic, and dependable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable leading activities and engaging residents with a variety of interests, abilities, and needs.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills preferred.
A genuine interest in working with and supporting the senior population.
