Responsibilities

HazTek is seeking an experienced EHS Safety Professional in West Point, PA to support a pharmaceutical construction project involving demolition and hazardous material remediation activities. This role requires a proactive safety leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily EHS oversight for demolition and hazardous material remediation activities
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and safety observations
  • Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements
  • Set up, calibrate, and interpret gas monitoring equipment
  • Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and promote a strong safety culture
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and incident investigations
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 required, 510 highly preferred
  • Experience supporting demolition and lead remediation projects
  • Ability to set up and read gas monitoring equipment
  • Current HAZMAT physical required
  • Strong communication and hazard recognition skills
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or industrial construction environments preferred
