Gen AI Lead - LangChain Specialist

Employment Type: Contract · Rate: $90–120/hr (W2) · Work Mode: Onsite — Pleasanton, CA

We are seeking an experienced Gen AI Lead with deep LangChain expertise to join our growing AI team in Pleasanton, CA. You will lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of LLM-powered applications using the LangChain ecosystem.

• Architect and build scalable LangChain-based applications and pipelines
• Lead technical direction for LLM application development across the team
• Integrate LangChain with external data sources, APIs, and vector stores
• Drive prompt engineering, chain optimization, and LLM evaluation strategies
• Mentor and guide junior AI engineers in best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on AI product roadmaps

• 10+ years of overall software/AI/ML engineering experience
• 3+ years of production experience with LangChain or equivalent LLM frameworks
• Strong Python skills; experience with LLM APIs and embedding models
• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, etc.)
• Experience with agentic patterns, tool calling, and memory management in LangChain
• US Green Card or Citizenship required
• Must be willing to work onsite in Pleasanton, CA
