Job Title: Senior Technical Accountant

Overview: This is an exciting opportunity to dive deep into complex, high-visibility accounting areas including revenue recognition, M&A, equity and debt instruments, derivatives, and financial reporting. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to sophisticated transactions while partnering closely with the business and expanding your technical skill set. The role also offers a highly flexible hybrid schedule, with just one day per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, legal, and finance to evaluate and structure non-standard sales agreements.
  • Review customer contracts and billing arrangements involving non-standard terms or multiple performance obligations to ensure proper revenue treatment under US GAAP.
  • Perform detailed revenue recognition analyses in accordance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers).
  • Execute month-end close activities, including revenue and deferred revenue calculations, account reconciliations, royalty accrual estimates, and analysis of revenue trends.
  • Support M&A initiatives, including accounting due diligence and post-acquisition accounting integration.
  • Coordinate with external auditors by providing supporting documentation and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses to support business partners and management decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent practical experience required.
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, with deep expertise in revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15).
  • Experience reviewing customer contracts and prior revenue accounting or industry experience is a plus.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical, problem-solving, and administrative skills.
  • Experience working with large ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; strong project management and multitasking capabilities.

PAY TRANSPARENCY: The estimated annual pay range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000. Actual compensation will be determined by the hiring authority and may vary depending on qualifications and other factors relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
