  • No. of Beds in Department: 8-bed Level III NICU, 10 LDR rooms
  • Specialty Backup Available: OB Hospitalists, Neonatologists
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Attendance at deliveries
  • Neonatal resuscitation and newborn management
  • Nighttime in-house coverage with on-call backup
  • Collaboration with Neonatologists and OB Hospitalists
  • Education of RN/RT teams

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
  • Licenses: Active Virginia APRN license
  • Certifications: Current APRN national specialty certification
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as NNP
  • Other Qualifications:
    • Clean background, no malpractice or license issues
    • CV in MM/YYYY format with gaps explained
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide daytime collaboration with Neonatologists in managing NICU patients
  • Provide nighttime in-house coverage with Neonatologist on call (30-minute response)
  • Attend deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitation as needed
  • Educate RN and RT teams on neonatal care protocols
  • Manage patient care in an 8-bed Level III NICU with average daily census of 9-11
