TRANSPORTATION PROJECT MANAGER 3 - Phoenix, AZSUMMARY:Responsible for the overall opportunity identification, positioning, pursuit, and management of transportation infrastructure projects for municipal and regional public agencies. Accountable for project performance, ensuring compliance with local standards and ordinances, delivering high-quality design solutions, and maintaining strong client relationships. Provides leadership and technical guidance to project teams, including engineers and technicians, with a focus on roadway, intersection, and multimodal improvements.ACCOUNTABILITIES:Participate in the execution of Dibble strategic initiativesActively pursue marketing and business development opportunities and cultivate relationships with existing and potential clientsRepresent Dibble at industry events and conferencesAssemble project teams (strategic partners, subconsultants, internal staff) for pursuits Lead pursuit proposals and interview teams to win new projectsPrepare and negotiate scopes of work, schedules, and fee proposalsSet up accounting and budget tracking for new projectsPrepare and manage project schedules and budgetsCoordinate all aspects of projects, including public involvement, utility and stakeholder coordination, and permittingProvide technical direction on design standards, ADA compliance, and multimodal integrationPerform QA/QC for deliverables such as plans, technical reports, specifications, and cost estimatesPrepare project invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely receipt of paymentEvaluate company practices and processes to provide input for continuous improvementActively participate in the career development of staffNote: Nothing in this role description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this role at any time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:A strong commitment to implementing and living out the Core Values of DibbleAbility to manage complex, high value projectsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality or effectivenessThe ability to make sound decisions for the benefit of the project and the CompanyThe ability to foresee the impacts of elements of the projectFamiliarity with municipal codes, standards, and local agency design guidelinesUnderstanding of project budgetingThe ability to consistently meet project deadlines while always maintaining qualityTechnical knowledge of transportation engineering principles, including roadway geometric design, traffic operations, and drainage for urban, suburban, and rural environmentsProven ability to manage projects involving public engagement and coordination with city councils, community groups, and other impacted stakeholdersAbility to effectively communicate project and billing status and needs with the clientProven negotiating skills and the ability to successfully negotiate acceptable contractsEducation and Experience:B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, and 10+ years of experience in civil engineering with specialization or significant experience in transportation engineeringMinimum 8 years of transportation Project Management experienceOther Requirements:Must have a valid Arizona driver's license or be able to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license within 3 months of start dateRegistered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Arizona or the ability to obtain registration within six monthsLOCATION: This opportunity can be in our Phoenix, Mesa, or Goodyear office locationCOMPENSATION: Salary depends on level of skills and experienceABOUT DIBBLE Founded in 1962, we provide a full range of civil engineering services to public and private sector clients across Arizona, Colorado, and the Southwestern United States.
