For additional information about our company, visit our website at www.fisherind.com POSITION SCOPE The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for safely and effectively repairing and servicing numerous types of heavy equipment and vehicles in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. PRIMARY DUTIESAbove all, ensure that safe practices are followed in all aspects of daily activitiesDiagnose/troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues accurately the first timeRead schematics, diagrams, blueprints, etc. to assist with repairs and/or diagnosticsDiagnosing complex electric, hydraulic, and mechanical issues at various locationsRemove, replace, and repair major components on all types of heavy construction, dirt moving, and rock crushing equipmentPerform routine services on heavy equipmentPerform on-site repairs in the field as needed in a fast-paced environmentWeekend and night work may occasionally be requiredTravel will be requiredPerform other duties as assigned BACKGROUNDMust be at least 21 years oldValid Drivers licenseAcceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy is required Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat above 100 degrees, cold, and rainMust have strong technical knowledge of vehicles and heavy equipment repairDetail oriented, organized, and capable of working efficiently in a high-pressure environment with minimal or no guidanceSignificant training in the mechanical fieldBasic Computer Skills (Email, Smart Phone, Excel)Impeccable communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people and backgrounds Fisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
