Devola Volunteer Fire Company is seeking a Paramedic to deliver high-quality emergency medical care in Marietta, OH.

Position Summary

The Paramedic will provide advanced pre-hospital medical treatment to patients in emergency and non-emergency situations, working as part of a coordinated response team. This role requires sound clinical judgment, calm decision-making in high-pressure environments, and a strong commitment to patient safety and care.

As a part-time, onsite Paramedic, you will respond to calls, assess patients, implement treatment plans, and coordinate with dispatch, leadership, and receiving facilities to support timely, effective care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency and medical calls, providing assessment, stabilization, and advanced pre-hospital care

  • Perform patient evaluations, determine priority of care, and administer treatments in accordance with established protocols

  • Communicate clearly with team members, dispatch, and receiving staff regarding patient status, interventions, and transport needs

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and service details

  • Ensure equipment is ready, maintained, and stocked according to organizational standards

Required Qualifications
  • Valid paramedic certification and eligibility to practice as a Paramedic in the state of employment

  • Current CPR and other required emergency response certifications

  • Ability to respond to calls onsite and work part-time with reliable availability

  • Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to make decisions under time-sensitive conditions

  • Professional communication skills and commitment to safe, respectful patient care

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in pre-hospital emergency medical services or similar field-based clinical roles

  • Familiarity with documentation practices and following medical protocols and operational procedures

  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a coordinated emergency response team

  • Experience handling frequent interruptions and maintaining composure during critical events

Compensation
  • Hourly rate: $20.50 -
