Center Assistant Position - Kumon of Plano Four Corners

We are currently hiring and looking for people who can work in various areas of the center. These are the days and times that we are hiring for:

Monday

• Lesson Planning 3PM - 7PM
• Early Learners 4:30PM - 7PM

Wednesday

• Lesson planning 3PM - 7PM
• Early Learners 4PM - 7PM & 5PM - 7PM

Thursday

• Lesson Planning 4PM - 7PM
• Early Learners 4PM - 7PM

Lesson planning is its own area and involves implementing lesson plans, keeping files updated and organized, administering and grading tests, adjusting record books, prepping student files for classwork and homework, and assisting students with their work. The overall role is essentially to keep the class room moving smoothly and to assist the instructor in other tasks. It is more demanding and requires the person to work every shift on Monday, Wednesday, and every other Thursday. This person should also be a very detail oriented worker.

Working with Early Learners involves sitting directly with our little kids (ages 3-7) and teaching them essential skills such as reading, pronunciation, annunciation, writing, stroke order, addition, subtraction, proper work skills, and good study habits to name a few. You would also be responsible for grading class work and homework, implementing lesson plans, keeping record books updated, implementing and grading tests, keeping a clean and organized area, and keeping kids quiet and focused. This role can be demanding and requires someone who is patient and firm with children.

Both of these roles require someone who can keep up in a fast paced environment and take pride in their work and surroundings.

Previous Kumon experience is preferred, but not required.

Pay: $8 - $11 /hour
