Lead Oncology Pharmacist – Inpatient & Infusion Services (Rotating Shifts)

Location: Harrisburg, PA 17109 (On-site Lower Paxton Twp)

Schedule: Rotating Day & Evening Shifts (Including rotating weekends and holidays)

New Hire Starting Base Pay: $71.17 – $80.07 per hour (Starting pay based on experience, with clear advancement pathways as you build specialized expertise.)

Future Earning Potential: Established employees have the opportunity to earn progressive pay increases up to $106.77 per hour over time through performance, tenure, and continuous learning.

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire (Permanent placement on company payroll with immediate full benefits; not a temporary job)

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Oncology & Infusion Oversight: Manage centralized and decentralized oncology medication systems, ensuring safe, effective, and cost-conscious infusion pharmacotherapy.
  • Clinical Coaching & Mentorship: Oversee daily pharmacy operations, guide workflow standardization, and mentor pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, students, and residents.
  • Multidisciplinary Consultation: Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize complex oncology patient care and deliver accurate drug information.
  • Quality Improvement & Compliance: Lead quality improvement and cost-reduction initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and support Executive Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee decisions.
  • Inventory & Operational Management: Oversee drug procurement, mitigate medication shortages and recalls, assist with budget variances, and troubleshoot billing/claims issues.
What We’re Looking For – Minimum Job Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of post-licensure health-system/hospital pharmacy experience required; oncology and infusion experience strongly preferred.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy (PharmD or BS Pharmacy).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced clinical pharmacy knowledge, EMR and pharmacy dispensing systems expertise, inventory procurement tracking, and complex billing oversight.
  • Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive expertise in oncology pharmacotherapy, USP sterile compounding guidelines, regulatory compliance standards, and health-system operations.
  • Soft Skills: Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities, strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and strong organizational problem-solving skills.
  • Licensure & Clearances: Current Pharmacist licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (PA).
