About NEHD:New England Homes for the Deaf, founded in 1901, is a life plan community that offers a continuum of care to Deaf, Deafblind, and hard of hearing seniors, including independent living, rest home, skilled nursing community, Deaf senior centers, short-term rehabilitation services, respite care services and hospice care. The New England Homes for the Deaf mission is to provide long term healthcare, housing, recreational activities and social support for Deaf, Deafblind and hard of hearing individuals in an accessible, barrier-free, and culturally sensitive environment with optimal communication and architectural resources. Per Diem - weekends onlyAvailable shifts: 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM, 11:30 AM - 7:00 PM, or 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM Position Summary:As a Point of Care, you will provide nutritious meals for our Deaf and Deafblind residents in our long-term care, nursing facility. You will assist with the food preparation, setting tables, and sanitation of dishes. Helping to provide a safe healthy environment and excellent customer service, with clear understanding of sanitary procedures. Responsibilities:Review with nursing menu for serviceCheck all foods and equipment temperature before meal service and after meal serviceThree (3) hot waters for tea and hot chocolateFour (4) coffee containersDessertsHot foot including mechanical ground and moist groundProper serving utensilsTray ticketsClean cart/dirty cardWith three (3) white containers, one (1) gray, and one (1) sanitizer for flatwareCheck glovesAll foods in steam tableAll special adaptive ware available at mealtimeBook for textures during meal service availablePlate presentationPerform other duties as assigned.
