Cutter 1st shift

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT:

With reasonable accommodation if required, will operate basic stamp finishing machinery includingpolar cuttersandother basic machinery in supportof stamp finishing operations, meeting safety and production requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS :

• 
  Maintains a safe working environment at alltimes
  
• 
  Operates Stamp Finishing Department equipmentincluding polar cuttersandother relatedequipment.
• 
  Handles, measures, cuts, andfeeds material.
• 
  Reads and understands SOP standards.
• 
  Maintains operating and malfunction/downtime log and required production documentation (manual and SERADEX ERP system)
• 
  Complete/document daily production including downtime.
• 
  Follows quality standards, maintains close tolerances, performs qualitychecks.
• 
  Performsroutine maintenanceandclean up.
• 
  Trains new employees as requested
• 
  Assists with examining product when needed
• 
  Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

• 
  High School Diploma or equivalent
• 
  Some previous printing or binding machine operation helpful but notrequired.
• 
  Must be able to read and write English.
• 
  Basic computer skills (MS Word,Excel, Internet)
• 
  Work well in a team environment.
• 
  Some Mechanical aptitude
• 
  Good visualacuity andcolorvision
• 
  Ability to read and use various metric units
• 
  Ability to walk, stand, bend or reach 12 hours.
• 
  Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs often.
• 
  Ability to work on any shift (day or night/12hour or 8 hourshifts)
• 
  Mustbe able to adhere to stringent safety, quality and security rules.
