Red River Youth Academy is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Director to lead our clinical services team and oversee therapeutic programming for adolescents receiving residential and day treatment services. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Clinical Director works closely with the Executive Director, medical providers, therapists, and facility leadership to ensure a safe, effective, and individualized treatment experience for every youth entrusted to our care.
Essential ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Director will:
Provide direct supervision to clinical department staff, including therapists.
Offer indirect guidance to direct care staff regarding clinical programming and treatment expectations.
Partner with facility leadership to ensure safe and effective therapeutic practices.
Ensure compliance with state, federal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
Monitor the completion and quality of clinical documentation and treatment records.
Attend and lead treatment team meetings and clinical staffing reviews.
Ensure clinical staff provide individualized, clinically appropriate interventions and treatment planning.
Maintain professional relationships with community providers and referral partners to support continuity of care.
Collaborate with Risk Management and Internal Audit teams to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Work collaboratively with physicians, facility leadership, and interdisciplinary team members to promote exceptional patient and family service.
Utilize Red River Youth Academy's public/private partnership opportunities to enhance patient outcomes.
Provide consistent supervision, coaching, and performance management to clinical staff to maximize effectiveness and minimize errors.
Master's Degree in a clinical or social service-related field required.
Active professional clinical license in Oklahoma required (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or social services preferred.
Previous supervisory or management experience required.
Advanced knowledge of best practices in the treatment of children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbances, behavioral disorders, and psychiatric illnesses.
Strong leadership, supervision, and team development skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Organizational, time management, and strategic planning skills.
Experience with data collection, analysis, interpretation, and program evaluation.
Basic fiscal management knowledge.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Teaching, mentoring, and training experience preferred.
Creativity, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight travel, as needed.
This position has access to Protected Health Information (PHI) necessary to perform essential job functions related to managing clinical services, directing departments, and ensuring compliance with standards of care.
