Euclid, OH manufacturer of precision machined metal parts is currently hiring for a Mechanical Testing Lab Tech.

This role is will be inspecting completed parts to ensure quality.

Starting Rate: $24 to $28 hourly

1st shift: 6am to 4:30pm (Monday to Thursday)

**Essential Job Functions: **

%AA; Inspects machined workpieces at inspection, or machining station to ensure conformance to specifications at various stages of production.

%AA; Reads blueprints or engineering specifications to obtain product information such as specified material, surface finish, dimensions, and mechanical properties.

%AA; Tests surface finish of workpiece by using surface profile measuring instruments to ensure production of specified surface finish.

%AA; Measures dimensions such as length, height, and distance between reference points using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicator, and snap gauge to ensure product meets specifications.

%AA; Locates reference point on part and measures dimensions such as angle, arc, and radii using combination aids such as surface plates, parallel bars, angle plates, gauge blocks, V-blocks, sine bars, optical comparator or other precision measuring instruments.

%AA; Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.

%AA; Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

%AA; Visually examines product for surface defects such as cracks, broken tooling etc.

%AA; Test hardness of product using Rockwell Hardness testers.
