Salary : $130,000 -$145,000 / year +15% bonus & RSUs

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization. This is a newly created role supporting the expansion of operations and increased production activity. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience, a hands-on approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This position will partner closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to support inventory accounting, cost analysis, month-end close, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monthly cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, cost analysis, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Analyze manufacturing costs from raw materials through finished goods production
- Maintain and review Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and standard costs
- Support month-end and year-end close processes related to inventory and cost accounting
- Prepare and analyze Cost of Sales (COS) reporting and manufacturing variances
- Monitor inventory transactions, cycle counts, reserves, and inventory accuracy
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to improve costing processes and operational efficiencies
- Assist with SOX compliance, audit requests, and internal control documentation
- Support capital expenditure tracking and fixed asset reporting as needed
- Identify opportunities for automation, reporting enhancements, and process improvements
- Participate in ad hoc financial analysis and cross-functional projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong manufacturing and cost accounting exposure
- Experience with inventory accounting, BOMs, routings, and standard costing required
- Strong understanding of GAAP, inventory controls, and manufacturing accounting principles
- Experience supporting audits and SOX compliance initiatives
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems required
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
- Flexible, hands-on mindset with the ability to adapt in a growing operational environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Public company experience
- Semiconductor, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing industry experience
- International or multi-entity accounting exposure
- Experience with capex reporting and manufacturing operations scaling initiatives
