Medical Biller & Coder (Certified)Kidney Associates of Kansas City – Kansas City, MOFun, challenging team environment with excellent benefits!Kidney Associates of Kansas City is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller & Certified Medical Coder to join our team. This role plays a vital part across the entire revenue cycle-from coding and claim submission through payment posting and follow-up-ensuring accuracy, compliance, and optimal reimbursement.Position DetailsFull-time schedule:Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PMFriday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PMHybrid work option: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote (after training)Must reside in the Kansas City areaKey ResponsibilitiesReview medical codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) for accuracy prior to claim submissionPerform internal coding audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations and payer requirementsSubmit claims to insurance carriers in a timely mannerPost payments and reconcile accountsPerform claims follow-up, including denials, corrections, appeals, and resubmissionsManage collections and outstanding balancesWork across all aspects of the revenue cycle, not limited to codingEnsure compliance with coding guidelines and billing regulationsMaintain accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systemQualificationsRequired Certification: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent1–2 years of medical billing and coding experience requiredStrong knowledge of insurance processes, coding standards, and reimbursement proceduresExperience with EMR systems required; eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferredExcellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skillsBenefitsCompetitive salaryHealthy Work-life BalanceComprehensive benefits package, including:Medical, Dental, & Vision insurancePaid time Off + Holiday Pay401(k) Retirement PlanSupportive, team-oriented work environmentEqual Opportunity Employer
