Kitchen Manager
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
We're looking for a hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team. You'll own day-to-day kitchen

• Hire, train, schedule, and develop cooks, prep staff, and dishwashers; build a positive, accountable kitchen
culture
• Manage food ordering, receiving, inventory, and vendor relationships; minimize waste and hit food cost
targets
• Maintain consistency on our signature items — fried chicken, wings, house-made sauces, pizzas, and scratch
prep
• Enforce food safety and sanitation standards (health code compliance, temp logs, cleaning schedules,
allergen handling)
• Keep equipment maintained and the kitchen organized, stocked, and service-ready
• Control labor costs through smart scheduling matched to sales volume
• Partner with ownership and front-of-house management on menu updates, specials, and events
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• 3+ years of kitchen management or strong lead-cook/supervisor experience in a high-volume restaurant or
bar & grill
• Proven ability to lead, train, and retain a kitchen team
• Solid understanding of food cost, labor cost, and inventory management
• ServSafe Manager certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
• Comfortable in a high-energy, late-night bar environment; nights, weekends, and holidays required
• Able to stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to work in a hot kitchen environment
WHAT WE OFFER
• Salary of $55,000–$65,000 per year, based on experience
• Quarterly bonus of $1,250 upon meeting KPIs (up to $5,000/year)
• Meal discounts across all OurFavoriteBar locations
• Growth opportunities within a locally owned, expanding restaurant group
• A supportive ownership team and a kitchen you can make your own
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in kitchen management and staff supervision.
• Strong skills in cost control, order sheet management, inventory, and pricing strategies.
• Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate the kitchen team.
• Some college and/or advanced training in food and beverage management plus 4 years of related experience, including supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Must excel at directing and managing kitchen production line during rush hours
• Must be organized, skilled with time management, and efficient in hot and cold line production
