Account CoordinatorPosition Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and driven Account Coordinator to support the Business Development and Sales team in managing key client relationships and coordinating new product launches from concept through commercialization. This role serves as an extension of the Business Development/Sales function and is responsible for supporting customer accounts, coordinating project timelines, facilitating cross-functional communication, and ensuring projects move efficiently from initial brief through production and delivery.

The Account Coordinator will work closely with internal teams including Research & Development, Regulatory, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, Production, Logistics, and Customer Service to ensure project milestones are achieved and customers receive exceptional service throughout the product launch process.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where managing multiple priorities and building strong internal and external relationships are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Business Development and Sales team in managing key customer accounts and new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate new product development projects from initial concept through development, production, shipment, and first reorder support.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, Production, Logistics, and Customer Service to keep projects on schedule.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, tracking key milestones including costing, sample development, formula approvals, packaging, Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, purchase order readiness, production scheduling, and shipment.
  • Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication, project updates, issue resolution, and follow-up.
  • Monitor product launches and reorder activity to support customer growth and business objectives.
  • Drive accountability across departments by ensuring action items, deliverables, and deadlines are completed on time.
  • Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation to support production readiness and Quality Assurance approval.
  • Enter, maintain, and monitor purchase orders, ensuring pricing, BOMs, production requirements, and project details are accurate throughout the production process.
  • Identify project risks, delays, missing information, or ownership gaps and escalate issues as needed.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, project status reports, recap emails, and action-item summaries for internal and customer meetings.
  • Support customer visits, business reviews, and other client-facing meetings as needed.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and provide timely updates to stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
QualificationsRequired
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in account coordination, project coordination, customer service, manufacturing, sales support, or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive customer relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), nutraceutical, food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetic environment.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI) and cross-functional project teams.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
