Job Description

Job Description
Lead the Line. Level Up Your Career.

As part of the Intek Plastics Group, we’re investing in people, technology, and professional growth. With expanded resources, enhanced perks, and a strong focus on development, we’re building a place where you’ll be supported, challenged, and empowered.

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Additive Manufacturing Operations Lead to guide a growing team, deliver reliable production outcomes, and delight customers with high-quality parts produced on advanced additive platforms.

A Day in the Life

You arrive to a prioritized production plan you helped shape. You huddle with the team, align schedules across printing, finishing, painting, and custom operations, then release work to the floor. As jobs run, you check project dashboards, review customer drawings, and verify that part specs and quality checkpoints are on track. Midday, you coach a technician through a complex build, coordinate materials and supplies, and advise a customer on the right polymer and process for their application. You close the day by updating records, planning preventive maintenance, and confirming weekend support coverage to keep equipment uptime strong.

What You’ll Own
  • Direct daily additive manufacturing activities to meet quality standards and delivery commitments.
  • Lead, coach, and support a high-performing AM team.
  • Coordinate projects end-to-end: scheduling across production, finishing, painting, and custom operations.
  • Interpret customer specifications, drawings, and requirements; ensure compliance throughout builds.
  • Track progress and maintain production, quality, and delivery documentation.
  • Operate additive manufacturing equipment as needed to keep output on target.
  • Champion continuous improvement and preventive maintenance.
  • Consult with customers on materials, processes, and AM solutions.
  • Order materials and supplies to match demand and minimize downtime.
  • Participate in rotating weekend support to maintain equipment uptime.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Solid grasp of production processes and manufacturing methods.
  • Exceptional organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strength in prioritizing work and managing multiple projects concurrently.
Preferred
  • Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing technologies.
  • Background in lean manufacturing and a passion for continuous improvement.
Why You’ll Love It Here
  • Work with cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and innovative products.
  • Lead a skilled, collaborative team that takes pride in results.
  • See your decisions directly impact operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Advance your career in a forward-thinking manufacturing environment.
  • Join a culture centered on quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs with assistance.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout a manufacturing environment during a shift.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
