We are looking for a detail-oriented Probate/Trust Administration Paralegal to support sophisticated estate matters in San Jose, California. This role focuses on guiding probate and trust administration files from opening through final distribution while ensuring accurate documentation, reporting, and coordination of assets. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and experience handling fiduciary and tax-related matters in a legal environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage probate and trust administration matters through each stage of the process, from initial court filings to closing distributions.
• Coordinate the collection, valuation, and transfer of estate and trust assets, ensuring timely preparation of supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review estate, gift, and related fiduciary tax filings for accuracy and completeness.
• Assemble fiduciary accountings and supporting financial records for attorney review and submission.
• Draft probate and trust administration documents, including petitions, orders, pleadings, and related court materials.
• Prepare deeds and other real estate transfer documents connected to estate and trust matters.
• Maintain well-organized case files, calendars, and records to support efficient matter management and compliance deadlines.• Demonstrated experience supporting probate and estate administration matters in a law firm or comparable legal setting.
• Working knowledge of trust accounting, fiduciary accountings, and asset distribution procedures.
• Experience preparing or reviewing estate tax, gift tax, and fiduciary tax-related documentation.
• Ability to draft legal documents related to probate, trusts, and real property transfers, including deeds.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines accurately.
• Proficiency with case management software and legal file administration tools.
• Familiarity with litigation support tasks such as discovery coordination or trial preparation is a plus.
