Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (Intervention Specialist) for K-8 or eligibility to obtain
• Experience with resource room and inclusive classroom settings
• Strong understanding of mild to moderate disabilities and effective intervention strategies
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborative approach and strong communication skills
• Commitment to building positive relationships with students and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide both push-in and pull-out services to support individual and small groups of K-8 students
• Create and follow effective resource teaching strategies for mild to moderate disabilities
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt lessons and interventions
• Develop, write, and implement IEPs for assigned students, maintaining compliance
• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction
• Monitor and report student progress, adjusting methods when needed
• Participate in meetings with staff and parents to ensure student success
