Job Description

We are looking for an Associate Attorney to join our litigation team focusing on class action, data privacy, securities, and antitrust. This opportunity is well suited for a motivated legal team member who thrives in a fast-paced practice and brings hands-on experience supporting or leading civil litigation matters. The role offers meaningful involvement across all phases of case development, from early pleadings through discovery, negotiation, and courtroom appearances. We value candidates who pair strong legal analysis and writing ability with initiative, sound judgment, and a forward-thinking approach to building client relationships and identifying new matters.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare pleadings, dispositive motions, and other case filings with careful attention to strategy, accuracy, and deadlines.

• Perform detailed legal research and translate findings into persuasive written work product and practical case recommendations.

• Manage written discovery by drafting requests, evaluating responses, and helping shape overall discovery strategy.

• Take part in depositions by preparing witnesses, examining parties or third parties, and defending testimony as needed.

• Represent the firm in mediations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings while supporting case strategy and client advocacy.

• Collaborate on civil and complex litigation matters, contributing to case assessment, factual development, and litigation planning.

• Identify and evaluate potential case opportunities through strategic networking, market awareness, and creative issue spotting.

• Support business development efforts by cultivating referral sources and helping generate strong leads for future client engagements.

• Demonstrated litigation experience gained in a law firm, judicial chambers, or a mission-driven legal organization.
• Strong academic performance, with a record that reflects disciplined legal study and sound analytical ability.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to produce clear and persuasive work.
• Background in civil litigation, including familiarity with discovery practice, motion work, and deposition preparation.
• Capacity to work independently, take initiative, and manage competing priorities in an active caseload environment.
• Interest in plaintiff-side or complex litigation and the judgment to contribute effectively at multiple stages of a matter.
• Law review participation, a judicial clerkship, or similar rigorous legal training is highly valued.
• Confidence in relationship-building and a willingness to contribute to client development and new matter generation.
