Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Experience teaching 7th–9th grade math, with strong understanding of differentiated instruction
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging math lessons tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques to address diverse learning styles and abilities
- Regularly assess student academic growth, adjusting strategies to ensure individual success
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Provide guidance and encouragement to help students build confidence and achieve academic goals
