We are looking for an HR Recruiter to support hiring efforts for a respected non-profit organization in Buffalo, New York. This in-office, Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can manage multiple recruitment activities in a fast-moving environment while maintaining a detail-oriented and candidate-focused approach. The person in this role will help attract, screen, and coordinate talent for open positions while working closely with internal stakeholders to keep the hiring process organized and efficient.
Responsibilities:
• Manage full-cycle recruitment activities for assigned openings, from sourcing candidates through interview coordination and hiring follow-up.
• Review resumes and applications to identify candidates with relevant experience and move candidates efficiently through the selection process.
• Communicate with applicants, hiring teams, and other stakeholders to provide updates, schedule interviews, and maintain a positive candidate experience.
• Use applicant tracking systems and related recruiting tools to document activity, monitor pipelines, and maintain accurate hiring records.
• Coordinate pre-employment steps such as background screening and related onboarding support in alignment with organizational practices.
• Partner with internal teams to understand staffing priorities, hiring expectations, and position requirements for active searches.
• Support recruitment reporting, administrative tasks, and document management using Microsoft Office and other HR systems.
• Contribute to a responsive hiring operation by balancing multiple openings and deadlines in a structured, fast-paced office setting.• Previous experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or a closely related human resources function.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and comfort working in recruiting databases or applicant tracking platforms.
• Ability to stay organized and productive while handling competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with candidates and internal teams.
• Experience supporting hiring workflows that may include sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, and pre-employment processing.
• Familiarity with systems or tools such as ADP Workforce Now, CRM platforms, CareerBuilder, or similar recruiting technology is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Buffalo, New York in a business casual office environment.
